Protect Yourself Online


Apparently 1 in 1000 websites contain drive by malware. This means that if you happen to visit one of these sites, you may get some sort of virus, worm or trojan installed - thank you very much.

I have talked before about the importance of backing up data, it is equally important to have adequate security software, including firewall software and antivirus software installed on your pc. If you run a website or blog, it is obviously vital to protect it from being easily hacked - Rob over at Brightscape has some excellent tips for protecting your blog.

There are various options available for protecting your computer online, some are free and some require subscriptions. A bit of research will usually give you an idea of which product suits your needs.
